Odo was born in 2337 (or found) on the founders homeworld in the Gamma Quadrant. He is from a planet of Shapeshifters. He was an officer of the Cardassian court when they had custody of DS9. When the Federation took over he assumed the position of Chief of Security however he is not in Starfleet, instead he works for the provisional government of Bajor. He is involved with Kira but he married to Lwaxana Troi, to get her out of a sticky bind and became quite fond of her. Odo is played by Rene Aberjonois.
