Data is an android built around 2336 by Dr. Noonien Soong at the Omicron Theta colony. Dr. Soong made Data with a positronic brain constructed from concepts by Dr. Issac Asimov in the 20th century. Data graduated from Starfleet academy in 2345 and was assigned to the U.S.S. Trieste and then to the Enterprise as Operations Manager. Data has a cat named spot and his life long goal is to be more human. Data is played by Brent Spiner.
